Did we win? I remember when you thought that Dobbins was a Vietnamese spy, and if you took him out, North Vietnam would fall. Is that why you ran over his foot?

Just updating my info. It is nice to see that many of us still think about the time we spent in the service. It will be a good time at the reunion. My thanks also go to Joe Kyle for starting the reunion. I have often thought about those days in VA-12 and hat has happened to the guys. Does anyone have a line on Ted Carpenter. Ted was from Mich. Email me if you have any info. See you all in June.

I recieved a call from Derwood Rogers last night. That was the first time in 30 years that I have talked to anyone from the squadron. I currently live in Piney Flats, Tn. I am currently the Human Resources Director for the City of Johnson City. Nancy and I have been married for thirty years. We have two kids that are now doing their own thing. Would be interested in finding out about F.M. Smith and Dave Rupe. The third motorcyle rider was Tom Phillips. Don't know if I will make it to the reunion however, Capt. Connecticut has indicated he might travel south for a visit.

Nice to read the comments in the guest book. I gather that you old salts have fond memories of your days in VA12. At the time I remember you bitched a lot.....but you never fell down on the job. If you did, Joe Malicoat or I would have kicked your ass. I hope your all successful millionaires. A.C. O'Brien, XO/CO 1966-68

I still marvel at what we did during those years. We played a large part in the history of the world, we just didn't realize it at the time.

Welcome. I started this reunion process in hopes of contacting old friends that felt the same as me about getting together again. I hope it works. I was one of the squadron storekeepers from Feb 66 to Dec 68. I was transferred out to VAW-122 just before the 69 Med Cruise and spent my last 9 month in Norfork. I missed the gang from VA-12 but was glad not to be going on the Shang. If anyone has old photos that they'd like to see posted on this site please send me an email.
